Flexiti Signs 10-Year Agreement to Become Exclusive Point-of-Sale Financing Partner to the LFL Group

CURO Group Holdings Corp., a tech-enabled, multi-channel and multi-product consumer finance company serving a diverse range of non-prime and prime consumers in the United States and Canada, and a revenue market leader in the industry, today announced that Flexiti, the company’s wholly-owned subsidiary, has signed a 10-year exclusive point-of-sale agreement with LFL Group, Canada’s largest home furnishings retailer.

LFL, commonly known as Leon’s Furniture Limited, runs over 300 stores in Canada under several banners such as Leon’s, The Brick, The Brick Mattress Store, The Brick Outlet, Furniture.ca, Appliance Canada, and Midnorthern Appliance. The agreement covers both in-store and online sales across all LFL retail banners. The agreement enhances the two companies’ already strong relationship: the FlexitiCard® has been accepted at The Brick since 2018 and has been used to apply and buy online at thebrick.com and leons.ca since 2019. Flexiti estimates that the POS lending relationship will generate over C$800 million in annual financed sales.

Flexiti believes that the agreement, which will come into effect on July 1, 2021, will position the company as Canada’s leading provider of POS financing solutions. LFL was granted a right to acquire 19.9% of Flexiti as part of the 10-year exclusive agreement. The warrant is only exercisable if Flexiti becomes a separate publicly traded entity or suffers a control change.LFL is one of North America’s largest furniture and appliance retailers, with total system-wide sales of C$2.7 billion in 2020. LFL’s retail footprint stretches from coast to coast, including locations in all of Canada’s major population centers. LFL, which was founded in 1909, has been serving Canadian consumers’ home furnishings requirements for almost 100 years.
