Toast Joins Hands with Google to Launch a New Ordering

On February 7, 2023, Toast, the all-in-one digital platform designed for restaurants, announced the integration with Order with Google, which enables restaurants utilizing Toast Online Ordering to open up a new channel for more orders. Toast Point of Sale (POS) is fully integrated with Order with Google and provides a smooth experience for both restaurant owners and guests.

As per Toast's Voice of the Restaurant Industry survey, one of the top ten areas of focus for restaurants in 2023 will be off-premise dining. According to the research, restaurants, on average, manage seven service models, including off-premise businesses such as takeout and delivery.

With millions of restaurant customers searching for restaurants online, the new collaboration with Order with Google will allow Toast restaurants to activate a crucial new channel and boost awareness by leveraging Google Search and Maps as an efficient ordering channel and marketing engine. Order with Google allows restaurant guests to search for the food they want quickly, connect with nearby restaurants, and pay ahead or on arrival.

Toast's Order with Google Integration will also enable restaurants to do the following:

  • Unlock additional ordering channels to take control of takeout and delivery: Toast restaurants may now sell to customers via the Toast Takeout App, Toast Online Ordering, and Order with Google. Toast enables restaurants to expand their takeout and delivery services while avoiding third-party commission costs.
  • Provide a seamless guest experience: A guest, with a single search, can see photographs, read reviews, order, and pay all in one spot. Order with Google addresses the whole spectrum of off-premise requirements, from online ordering for takeout and delivery to managing payment in advance.
  • Easily manage ordering channels with seamless integrations: Order with Google leverages the same hours, menus, and quotation times as Toast Online Ordering, thereby allowing restaurants to configure their settings in a single location. In addition, their updates are automatically transmitted in real-time to Order with Google. Furthermore, restaurants can easily toggle Order with Google on or off at any moment, giving them complete control over their ordering channels.

Ingenico and Splitit Partner to Bring One-Touch, No-Interest, BNPL Checkout

Splitit | February 03, 2023

Ingenico, one of the global leaders in payments acceptance solutions, and Splitit, the only white-label, card-based installment platform using existing consumer credit, have announced a global partnership to bring one-touch, no-interest, BNPL capability to the physical checkout experience leveraging PPaaS, Ingenico's innovative, cloud-based Payments-Platform-as-a-Service, and Splitit's Installments-as-a-Service solution. The partnership between Ingenico and Splitit overcomes the obstacles to provide a worldwide, one-touch, interest-free BNPL solution built into the merchant's current POS terminal. The outcome is an engaging omnichannel consumer experience that aids in the expansion of merchants' businesses and encourages customer loyalty and repeat purchases. The PPaaS solution from Ingenico allows customers, such as banks and merchant acquirers, to choose from a catalog of payments and value-added services without requiring extensive and costly software development. Additionally, it eliminates the difficulty of distribution across various terminal brands. Installments-as-a-Service is a new approach to driving BNPL by integrating a white-label, merchant-branded experience into a brand's current checkout flow. Splitit unlocks current consumer credit on credit cards for interest-free payments, unlike traditional BNPL offerings that generate new loans. Any customer having accessible credit on their credit card is immediately pre-approved for Splitit for the amount of that available credit. No application, registration, or redirection is required, and there are no extra interest charges, hidden fees, or credit checks, making it the most smooth and frictionless BNPL checkout experience for customers online and in-store. About Ingenico Ingenico is the worldwide leader in solutions for accepting payments. As the trusted technology partner for merchants, acquirers, banks, independent software vendors (ISVs), payment aggregators, and fintech clients, our world-class terminals, solutions, and services support the worldwide payments acceptance ecosystem. Trust and sustainability are at the core of everything we do at Ingenico. About Splitit Splitit's Installments-as-a-Service platform supports the next generation of Buy Now, Pay Later (BNPL) via merchant-branded Installments. It resolves the issues that companies encounter with old BNPL while enabling BNPL at the POS for card networks, issuers, and acquirers through a single network API. Splitit's Installments-as-a-Service platform reduces the issues with legacy BNPL, such as clutter at the checkout, a declining conversion funnel, and a lack of control over the merchant's customer experience. It also restores merchants' capabilities to nurture and drive conversion, retain customers, and increase average order value. Its white-label BNPL is the simplest installment option for merchants to adopt, integrate, and administer, giving an uncluttered, streamlined experience seamlessly integrated into their current purchase flow. The firm has a research and development facility in Israel and operations in London and Australia.
