Barnes & Noble on Wednesday evening announced it has entered into a formal review process to evaluate strategic alternatives, including a possible sale. The move comes on the heels of "expressions of interest from multiple parties," including from Chairman and Founder Leonard Riggio, the company said in a press release. Barnes & Noble on Thursday reported its best quarterly comp sales in several years, a rise of 1.1%.
